I decided not to go to my doctor and take my health into my own hands. After reading this book I ordered NDT (Natural Desiccated Thyroid) and take that instead of Levothyroxine. No more horrible side effects! I cant tell you just how much difference NDT makes compared to Levo or Synthroid. The book tells what dose to start with and I do not have that tiredness anymore even after 12 hours sleep. The book is very informative, but does not address my issue, which is NO THYROID! They do have a page at STTM Facebook specifically for those of us who do not have the gland. There is a difference between hypo with a thyroid and hypo with no thyroid. I have been dealing with an Endo. who has a god complex and will not listen to me. I am thankful for the Facebook page and my Primary Care Physician's willingness to work with me.
