As an impressionable teenager, I had the exceptional privilege of living in the camp of a remarkable individual. His name was Mahatma Gandhi, considered as the father of independent India. I heard his words of wisdom from his own lips. His words were simple but spoken with the confidence of a man who proclaimed that his life was his message. One particularly became forever etched in my young mind. He said, "One must be the change one wishes to see in the world." What do we want to see in the world? We want to get rid of poverty and have material abundance. We want to get rid of suffering and have an abiding happiness, which seem to require a life rich in spirituality. I have tried to do that in my own humble way, as you will read in Code Name God.
